Fudgy Brownies

A chocolate brownie recipe with the handwritten note to stop baking as soon as the middle sets.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  2. Add cocoa, flour, and salt and mix until smooth.
  3. Spread in a greased pan and bake at 350F until the center barely sets.

Notes

  • The original card says these are best the next day.
  • Handwritten margin note: do not overbake.
