Sunday Dinner Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 packets yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 5 to 6 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the yeast in warm milk with a spoonful of sugar.
  2. Stir in eggs, melted butter, remaining sugar, salt, and enough flour to make a soft dough.
  3. Let rise, shape into rolls, rise again, and bake at 375F until golden.

Notes

  • The card suggests brushing the tops with butter as soon as the rolls come out.
